Sherif was paired up with Anna Vakili on Love Island and the pair finally seemed to be building on their initial connection.
Sunday night’s episode saw the couple sharing a romantic kiss and Sherif told Anna he was “doing what she wanted” and finally showing her his true feelings, but it seems their happiness was short-lived.
Today ITV delivered an announcement revealing the hopeful had left the villa after “breaking the rules”.
The statement read: “After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers.
“It was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.”
Sherif then shed more light on the decision when he gave his own thoughts on what happened.
“In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules,” he lamented. “And as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
“I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.”
Despite the disappointing outcome of his Love Island experience, Sherif ended things on a positive note.
