Both Kate and William travelled north on Tuesday where they met hundreds of well-wishers and also sheared sheep later in the day. Upon meeting the crowds of fans, Kate was met by two young girls who had hoped to see Kate in her “Princess Elsa dress”. With his daughters apparently becoming shy at seeing Kate, the father said: “It’s a princess. You love princesses.”
Telling Kate about his children’s hope that she might have worn the dress, Kate touchingly apologised to the children.
Kate said: “I’m sorry.
“I came in my trousers and my coat because I’m going to see some sheep.”
The dress in question was the gown, Kate had worn in November 2017 to the Palladium Theatre’s Royal Variety Performance.
