Amazon Prime released Good Omens a few weeks ago and Neil Gaiman fans have been wondering whether a second series will be released. Gaiman, however, has said he is unlikely to return as showrunner if there is another season of Good Omens on Amazon Prime. Good Omens season two could still go ahead, though the chances of this happening may be less now that Gaiman has said he won’t be returning.
When asked by Express.co.uk at the world premiere of Good Omens if there would be another series, Gaiman said he would not be behind it.
He said: “So far, Good Omens has taken me four years, or five years since I promised Terry [Pratchett, co-writer of the Good Omens novel] I’d make it.
“In that five years I haven’t been writing novels,” he continued.
Gaiman’s last book, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, was released in 2013 .

Reflecting on his career, Gaiman added: “It’s time for me to go back and be a novelist.”
