‘To be continued' Robbie Williams to return to #XFactor after all in major ...

Singer and former Take That band member Robbie and his wife and Loose Women panellist Ayda caused plenty of drama on last year’s edition of The X Factor.

Robbie often teased his colleague and music mogul Simon Cowell and he and Ayda had a hilariously competitive relationship on the show, both coaching different singers.

It was recently revealed Robbie and Ayda wouldn’t be returning to this year’s series, explaining how much they’d wanted to return, but in the end said they simply couldn’t fit another project in.

Yet now Robbie, 45, has teased he will come back to the ITV show again when things calm down with his other jobs.

The singer announced he is the new co-owner of LMA, a university centre for the music, performing arts and creative media.

Fans will remember Robbie was choir and contestant LMA Choir’s coach on the series last year, and he has remained in close contact with its members ever since.

Today the star took part in a press conference for his new project, where he was inevitably quizzed on the show.

On his decision to depart from the X Factor, Robbie shared: “We wanted it desperately to work with The X Factor but it couldn’t.

“It is to be continued because Simon and I are good friends, our family are friends and our kids hang out all of the time.

“It is a pause on the relationship and then it will carry on.
