ITV confirmed, however: “Maura and Tommy hadn’t met prior to being in the villa.” ITV2 viewers also accused the show of being fixed over Sherif’s exit. One fan wrote on Twitter: “So Sherif is evicted… it’s national news… yet no one in the villa is talking about it? A statement from the network read: “After breaking the villa rules Sherif had conversations with the producers, “It was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.” Sherif also released an official statement about his exit prior to returning to social media. The former islander said: “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.
