Debating the current Tory leadership race, an audience member has insisted that there is only one candidate who can unite the UK and deliver Brexit. Speaking on BBC Question Time, the man insisted that Boris Johnson is the candidate that should be elected as the next Prime Minister. The man admitted that we “desperately need” anyone who can unite the country as the UK heads towards the October 31 exit date and argued that Mr Johnson was the man to do it.
The audience member said: “I think we desperately need someone who can unite this country.
“We’re in a mess.
“We’ve never been a mess like this except for maybe the 1930s.
“It’s quite desperate.”
