Smiling Theresa May unveils plans for life after Number 10 - 'Got time for ...

Theresa May has officially resigned from her position as Prime Minister on June 7 but is set to remain in charge of Number 10 until the Conservative Party has selected her successor. Mrs May was forced to step down after she failed to win the support of MPs for her proposed Brexit withdrawal agreement and amid growing demands for her to allow someone new to take the reins of negotiations with the European Union. Speaking to Sky News from her office in Downing Street, she smilingly revealed she is planning to use her time after leading the Government to "do some other things outside of politics."

Mrs May said: "Although I’ll stop being the Prime Minister, I’ll carry on being a member of Parliament.

"Outside of that, though, I’ll probably have a little bit more time to do some other things outside of politics.

"I enjoy walking, I want to carry on dealing with some of the issue I’ve been dealing with as I’ve Prime Minister."

But the former Prime Minister also admitted she will use the extra time to spend more time in the kitchen and catching up with her favourite sport: "Cooking, I want to do a bit more cooking and I think I might just get a little bit more time to watch some cricket."
