Over a period of just five weeks, Trump has spent nearly half a million dollars advertising for his 73rd birthday which was on June 14, according to The New York Times. However, some of the Facebook adverts have incorrectly stated that the US President is turning 72. One advert in particular encouraged people to sign an online birthday card for Trump which read: “President Trump can’t wait to read your birthday messages.”
One ad purchased two days before Trump’s birthday read: “He’ll read the name of every supporter who signs his card when we present it to him on his birthday. Will he see your name?”
The card is also a clever ploy which will help his re-election campaign collect information about Trump’s current and potential supporters.
