Saturday morning will see parts of western and eastern Scotland see a few showers but most of the overnight rain will clear from Northern Ireland. Northwest England, the west country and the Midlands will experience a soggy start to the weekend with some outbreaks of rain. Brighter weather will appear in west Wales and southwest England with some western areas seeing a fair amount of dry bright weather.
Ahead of a rain band there will be some fairly sharp showers breaking out but there will be more cloudy weather with leaden skies and outbreaks of rain.
Met Office Meteorologist Steven Keates said: “It’s going to be quite cool as well with temperatures just 15 or 16 degrees celsius with a bit of sunshine.
