The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently establishing their own household after splitting off from William and Kate. Social media is just one of the ways the couple are trying to branch away from the Cambridges. A source close to the royals told the MailOnline: “They have appointed a new member of staff to work on their social media accounts.
“The new person will start in time for Meghan's return from maternity leave.”
Officials are keen to downplay any rivalry between the couples but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already attracted 8.5 million followers since they launched their Instagram in April.
William and Kate, who joined in 2015, only have 700,000 more followers.
Last month, Harry and Meghan shared unseen photographs from their wedding on Instagram.
