Harry Redknapp, 72, addressed his son Harry Redknapp’s divorce during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, which is set to air tonight on ITV. The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner revealed he was “choked” when he found out about the 45-year-old football pundit’s separation from Louise Redknapp, 44. During the candid interview, Harry admitted in reference to the couple’s split: “I could never ever ever see that happening.” He added: “I thought they were going to be married forever.
“They weren’t a showbiz marriage, Lou just didn’t want to be anywhere without Jamie.
“They were very down to earth the pair of them.”
The former football manager explained he and his wife Sandra Redknapp were “completely shocked” when the pair called time on their relationship after 19 years of marriage.
In response to Harry’s admission about Jamie and Louise’s break-up, host Piers Morgan, 54, asked the star whether he could see a reconciliation on the cards for the duo.
The TV personality replied: “I don’t know, only they know that Piers, I wouldn’t know.”
In spite of his reluctance to answer the question, Harry said: “They were a great couple when they were together that’s for sure.”
