Violet von Westenholz is reportedly responsible for setting Harry and Meghan up on their first date back in July 2016, according to the Mail on Sunday. Their first date then led to a five-day break in Botswana where they secured their relationship. Ms von Westenholz is a childhood friend of Harry’s who met with Meghan while working as a press relations director for Ralph Lauren.
She is also the daughter of a former Olympic skier Baron Piers von Westenholz who is a close friend of Harry’s father Prince Charles.
Now that Ms von Westenholz is pregnant with her first child, royal insiders are predicting she will ask Meghan and Harry to be the child’s godparents.
Ms von Westenholz was previously tipped to be a godparent to Harry and Meghan’s first born Archie Harrison.
She is still in the running to become a godparent along with Serena Williams and the Tindalls.
