Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now happily married and the proud parents of their new baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. However, in a shock claim it has been reported that Prince Philip warned his grandson over marrying his then-girlfriend Meghan, due to her profession. The Sun reported that the Duke of Edinburgh told his grandson: “One steps out with actresses, one doesn’t marry them.”
It comes after Prince Philip’s son Prince Andrew was also in a serious romantic relationship with an American-born actress, Koo Stark.
Andrew and Ms Stark met in 1981 on Prince Andrew’s 21st birthday, and had a serious relationship for 18 months.
Biographer Andrew Morton, in his 1983 book “Andrew: The Playboy Prince”, writes: “It was his first real love affair.”
Although she gained notoriety for having starred in a number of erotic films, Ms Stark also played roles in TV, film and theatre productions including Star Wars and The Rocky Horror Show.
