Lauren (played by Jacqueline Jossa) said goodbye to Walford after Abi Branning’s (Lorna Fitzgerald) funeral.
She went back to New Zealand to join Peter Beale (Ben Hardy), the father of her son Louie.
Peter’s dad Ian (Adam Woodyatt) has been missing from EastEnders of late as he’s been visiting the trio.
Months ago on the BBC soap, Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) revealed Lauren had returned to New Zealand but it wasn’t known if she and Peter were in a relationship again.
But in last night’s episode, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) revealed Ian had been caring for his grandson as Peter and Lauren were having issues.
“Peter and Lauren, they’ve had a few problems you know. So Ian has been looking after Louie while they patch things up,” she told Bobby Beale (Clay Milner-Russell).
So, with Lauren and Peter’s renewed relationship suddenly in turmoil, could she make a return to Walford?
She’s already done it once before when things broke down with Peter after Lucy Beale’s (Hetti Bywater) death.
