Rory Stewart emphasised the Tory leadership debate this evening would focus on the details of the future of the country regarding Brexit. During an interview with Sky News, he said he hoped someone would pose questions to Tory leadership favourite, Boris Johnson, on the details of his Brexit plan. The Sky News interviewer questioned the Tory leader hopeful on what he had planned for tonight's debate as it would mark the first time he and Boris Johnson have debated on television together during the contest.

Mr Stewart said: “I would like to hear a plan from Boris.

“I’d like to hear, above all else, somebody ask him what is the way he is going to satisfy different visions of Brexit.

“What are his tariff schedules, what would he like to do on milk imports and what would he like to do on cars.

“These are things that actually matter for people’s jobs.

“I agree we should leave the political institution of the European Union, we should leave the Parliament and the Commission, that is all agreed.
