Boris Johnson backing Iain Duncan Smith strongly criticised Rory Stewart’s Brexit plan while reaffirming that Mr Johnson was the only candidate to secure Brexit. Mr Duncan-Smith said Mr Stewart’s Brexit assembly plan was “wacky” as the 2016 referendum was the “people’s jury” and gave a clear indication to leave the EU. Speaking to Channel 4 he said: “Well I’m not sure what the truth means in Rory Stewart's case I have to tell you.
“Up until now, Rory Stewart has not said a word about what he is going to do.
“Now we are to discover that actually, he has got some wacky scheme to go out to a people’s collective and then come back and tell Parliament what to do.
“When Parliament turns the deal down he is just going to return it, it is a bit of a mess
