#GMB star Lucy Verasamy issues 'invaluable' weather warning

Lucy Verasamy, 38, regularly updates her fans with the forecast for the week ahead and it was no different when she told her followers to use their “radar”. The Good Morning Britain star warned everyone to ensure they carry an umbrella as there is a chance of rain and thunder. In view of 161,000 Twitter followers, she said: “If you know how to interpret & use a radar - it’ll be invaluable today eyes on the skies.” The small-screen star referred to a weather radar which is often called a weather surveillance radar and is used to locate precipitation and estimate its type - including rain, snow and hail.

Fans were quick to comment on the meteorologist's post, as one person said: “The most important accessory is to ensure to carry an umbrella and wear wellies.”

Another person mused: “I think I'll stick with watching you present the weather forecast.”

While a third person quizzed: “You at Ascot this week Lucy? Hope you have a decent brolly.”

Her weather warning comes after the television beauty hinted she may be attending Royal Ascot this week.
