Susanna Reid, 48, looked the picture of elegance at Royal Ascot 2019 today, taking in the action from the ITV box. Piers Morgan, 54, however, couldn’t resist making fun of her as he filmed their afternoon out in view of his 616,000 Instagram followers. As the Queen arrived at the racecourse and the crowd stood to sing the national anthem, Piers narrated, greeted the monarch: “Good afternoon, your Majesty. There she is,” he told fans. The presenter then turned the camera on Susanna.
“And Good afternoon Your Majesty,” he jibed, but his co-star seemed unaware of his joke, appearing not to hear.
Piers persevered, however, continuing to tease Susanna as he went on to show Dame Joan Collins, 86, beside him.
“Dame Joan, singing there for Her Majesty,” he commented, panning the camera around to show Chief Executive of ITV, Dame Carolyn McCall.
“Dame Carolyn, that’s two dames,” he added, before showing Susanna once again and quipping: “And plain old Susanna Reid.”
Susanna looked sensational in pictures from their day at the races, with Piers later sharing a picture of the pair himself stood between her and Dame Joan.
“A rose between two thorns!” he wrote in the caption.
