Brexiteer Tim Montgomerie argued if the Tory leadership race ended with a shown between Boris Johnson and Michael Gove, a spectacle of "psychodrama" would follow. He noted Boris supporters would favour a final between him and Jeremy Hunt as it would be the safer option. The BBC host then raised his concerns surrounding Jeremy Hunt and the idea that in the finals you have got to have two Brexiteers no matter what because of the feelings of the Conservative members.
