With the UK heading towards October 31, Tory members have insisted that Brexit must be delivered ahead of the union of the UK, the party and the economy the poll has suggested. The poll which was publicised by ITV Peston’s Twitter account, however, also shows that party members would only sacrifice Brexit to stop Jeremy Corbyn from becoming the next Prime Minister. The statistic comes as Jeremy Corbyn told colleagues on Wednesday afternoon that it was "right to demand any deal is put to a public vote".
A large number of Labour MPs believe any deal on the terms of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU must be put to a public vote despite some opposition from within the party.
