Lucy Verasamy, 38, slipped into a chic ensemble as she updated ITV viewers on the weather ahead, where she said it has been “disappointing” for the month of June. Sporting a simple black T-shirt and a cream skirt, the brunette beauty spilled on what the UK will look like for the rest of the week and relayed temperatures are set to rise for the Summer Solstice tomorrow. She told viewers: “It’s been a remarkably disappointing June so far and we are not out of the woods just yet. Blustery showers in the next 24 hours but brighter skies develop. “Some lovely, cheerful blue sky and sunshine and drying up just in time for the Summer Solstice on Friday. The longest day of the year.”

The 2019 summer solstice - also known as midsummer - falls in the Northern Hemisphere this week.

It occurs when one of the Earth’s poles reaches its maximum tilt toward the sun.

This happens twice yearly, once in the Northern Hemisphere and once in the Southern Hemisphere.

This year, summer solstice falls tomorrow at 4.54pm British Summer Time.
