‘Over the moon’ Star speaks out on signing up to a #GameofThrones prequel

Filming for the Game of Thrones prequel has begun and as fans wait for details on the HBO’s spin-off to be released, one star has revealed they would love to join the cast. 

Ser Arthur Dayne (played by Luke Roberts) appeared in one episode in season six of the series and was fatally wounded in a battle with Lord Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) and Lord Howland Reed (Leo Woodruff) during one of Bran Stark’s (Issac Hempstead Wright) visions. 

Game of Thrones star Luke has now confessed he would love to return to the HBO series in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk. 

When asked if he would be interested in playing an ancestor of Ser Arthur in the prequel, he admitted: “That’s an interesting proposition, I like it.

“I would be game let’s say that it was a great show and a real privilege to work on it and to have a brief but impactful character with such a brilliant team, was a great experience. 

“I really saw it as a one off but yes sure if the opportunity arose and schedule permitted I would be over the moon to work and play a character like that.” 

Ser Arthur was tasked with guarding the Tower of Joy where Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi) was held captive by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. 

The swordsman almost kills Eddard but is stopped by Howland who fatally stabs him. 

Eddard then finds his sister who is dying after giving birth to Jon Snow who Eddard would pass off
