Piers Morgan, 54, married journalist Celia Walden, 43, back in 2010 and the couple share a seven-year-old daughter together. His close friend and Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid, 48, made a cheeky quip about the Life Stories star in an interview with The Mirror’s Notebook Magazine. Asked how she would get on in a real-life marriage with her TV husband, Susanna joked: “I feel sorry for his wife Celia every day. I think she’s grateful that I have him in my care for a few hours in the morning, so she gets a break.”
Piers sounded equally as unimpressed with the hypothetical marriage, calling his presenting partner a “control freak” and saying: “It would be utter hell. Because I’m the opposite of that.
“As long as I’m in charge,” he added.
“It’s an arranged marriage without any of the good bits. I just get the nagging.”
Opening up on their co-hosts’ best and worst qualities, Susanna revealed: “Piers’ worst quality is that he will not stop talking, he takes up 95 per cent of the air time.
“When he starts unravelling on air, I wipe my hands of him.”
