Ms Widdecombe, who served as a Tory MP for 23 years, has blamed outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May for failing to deliver Brexit during her short tenure. She said it was a “scandal” that Britain has not left the EU on time, and blamed the failure on the “sheer incompetence” of Mrs May. The recently elected Brexit Party MEP said Mrs May “completely mishandled the process” and went on to describe her as “incredibly weak” and a “really bad prime minister”. Polling guru John Curtice shares the Brexit MEP’s uncertainty that Britain will leave the EU in four months time.
