Julia Bradbury, 48, met Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan Markle, 37, when she hosted an event in honour of award-winning play The Wider Earth. The royal couple attended the gala back in February, which celebrated the life and discoveries of Charles Darwin, and highlighted Harry’s work with The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy. The former Countryfile presenter spoke exclusively about her time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Express.co.uk. Discussing her and her seven-year-old son Zephyr's first impressions of the pair, she revealed: “It was lovely, they’re a very dynamic couple and I have a lot of respect for them.”
The star also recalled a fun moment from the evening between Zephyr and Prince Harry.
She divulged: “I actually met Harry and my little boy Zephyr got to high five with him."
Julia then reflected on a cheeky comment her eldest child made about former actress Meghan, adding: “My son also said to me, ‘She’s [Meghan] very pretty isn’t she? She’s very beautiful,’ and I said, ‘Yes darling she is.’"
The presenter continued: “I think they’re a lovely couple and very engaging.
“They have a real presence when they come into a room and they’re smiley and talkative, which is lovely.”
