Taking to her Twitter, Carol Kirkwood, 57, informed her followers the weather in the next coming days will be “unsettled” in some areas across the UK. Revealing all, she wrote: “The forecast for the next few days is unsettled. “We are at risk of severe thunderstorms, localised flooding and feeling humid. Not all of us will catch the heavy rain or thunderstorms though @BBCBreakfast xxx.”

Carol’s tweet prompted many of her fans to comment, with one writing: “Glad I won’t be working @carolkirkwood.”

A second wrote: “As long as it keeps clear of Glastonbury Carol!”

Carol followed up her tweet sharing further details of what’s to come this week.

“Later in the week, temperatures in western Scotland could reach 26 Celsius or more,” she added.

“In southern England temperatures could reach 31 Celsius or more. It will feel humid @BBCBreakfast xxx.”

She continued: ”Also worth mentioning, it’s not just going to be humid by day but also humid by night in the south of England.
