#Riverdale season 4: Season 4 premiere episode to pay tribute to Luke Perry

Luke Perry died in March 2019, leaving Riverdale fans wondering how the Netflix and The CW series would pay tribute to the Fred Andrews. Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa has taken to Twitter to reveal that the season four premiere of the Netflix/CW show would be a tribute to Luke Perry. The first episode of Riverdale season four is titled In Memoriam and has been called “a tribute to our fallen friend” by Sacasa.

Last week, Sacasa took to Twitter to confirm that the premiere episode of Riverdale would pay tribute to Luke Perry, who died of a stroke earlier in the year.

The Riverdale showrunner wrote: “Probably the most important episode of #Riverdale we’ll do this year, if not ever. 

“A tribute to our fallen friend. Thankful for this opportunity to honor Luke & Fred.”

This tweet was posted alongside an image of the script for the episode, which revealed its full title: Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam.
