Dancing On Ice winner James Jordan, 41, called This Morning host Phillip Schofield, 57, a “top man” after the presenter took to Twitter to address his “sad weekend”. Following a source’s claims to The Sun that Phillip had “pushed” for Rochelle Humes, 30, to temporarily replace Holly Willoughby, 38, last year, Phillip commented on “wildly untrue” reports. In view of his 4.5 million followers, he wrote: “The end of another really sad weekend. When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless ‘sources’.
You’re a top man. Lots of jealous people out there mate.
“Obviously I’ll take it on the chin.. I just hope you know me better.”
Now James, in addition to several other celebrities, has supported the much-loved presenter on social media.
In view of his 253,000 followers, he wrote: “It was an absolute pleasure to work with you on DOI.
“A true professional but always very supportive and caring. And yes you’re fun, just not as fun as me.
“You’re a top man. Lots of jealous people out there mate.”
Last year, Rochelle stood in for Holly while the latter presented I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Declan Donnelly, 43.
