Missy Booth set for devastating storyline after horror crash on #AckleyBridge?

Missy (played by Poppy Lee Friar) and Nas (Ashely-Leigh Hickman) had finally settled on their futures beyond Ackley Bridge at the end of the first episode of the brand new season.

No one could have expected what happened next as the best friends were then run over by a speeding car with the final shot showing the two popular characters lying motionless in the middle of the road.

As the Channel 4 school-based drama returns tonight, the action is set to pick up from where things were left, with the characters’ futures in question.

Ahead of season three, writer Alexander Lambe teased Missy was set to take centre-stage in a huge storyline and with the events of last week, there is no question the fan favourite will be facing some struggles as the drama continues.

Missy had accompanied Nas to Oxford University after her friend got an offer to study medicine at the prestigious school.

The idea of losing Nas left Missy contemplating her own future in Ackley Bridge and led to a disagreement between the pair as the Oxford hopeful failed to support her friend’s dreams.

The high schooler ended up turning to her estranged mother Simone Booth (Samantha Powell) who had seemed to have turned her life around after struggling to kick her drug addiction.

By the end of the episode, the pair had finally made up but the separation of the best friends later on in the series seemed to be yet another struggle Missy and Nas would have to face.

However, following the crash, it could seem Missy may become paralysed and this could introduce her mother back into the fold as she supports her daughter in her time of need.
