The Foreign Secretary has been on the attack after Mr Johnson refused to take part in a televised debate on Sky which was subsequently cancelled by the broadcaster. After a series of tweets from Mr Hunt under the hashtag “Bo Jo No Show”, BBC News journalist, Laura Kuenssberg wrote that the Foreign Secretary was “enjoying” himself as he continued his attack on his rival. In response, Mr Hunt replied saying, “use the hashtag please” strangely accompanied with a winking emoji.
Fellow Twitter users were quick to offer their thoughts on the quip.
In response, one user said: "Juvenile tweet again.
"Maybe time to turn the Twitter feed over to a grown-up instead of the kiddies on the keyboard."
Another simply said: "Self -centred."
