In 2016 the Countess of Wessex was one of a number of people who took on the Duke of Edinburgh challenge.
The event marked the 60th Anniversary celebrations of the scheme which will be familiar to most secondary school students.
The wife of Prince Edward undertook a 445 mile cycle from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to Buckingham Palace.
During the long journey, which took a week from start to finish, the royal kept a diary, which was turned into a blog on the royal website.

The Countess amusing revealed a moment of humour on day six of the travels.
On day six of the journey the group cycled around the RAF Wittering base. They then headed south towards London.
Sophie told how an observation made by and her fellow cyclists caused a man among the group “a complex about his rear end”.
However, it had a far more innocent backstory that it seems at first reading.
