Most of the UK and Wales will experience a dry day on Sunday with plenty of sunshine. However, across the northwest of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland outbreaks of rain will persist throughout the day. Sunday morning will be mainly a dry and bright start across eastern Scotland with more cloud towards the west.
Met Office meteorologist Mark Wilson said: “There will be thicker cloud across western parts of Northern Ireland with some outbreaks of rain here but most of England and Wales are going to have a fairly dry start.
“Today, plenty of bright and sunny spells to enjoy first thing with temperatures into the mid-teens across much of England, Wales and the east of Scotland - we hang onto a fairly dry picture.”
There will be some isolated showers in the west but most places will be dry.
But Scotland and Northern Ireland will experience continuous outbreaks of rain pushing
