Royal fans have followed Prince William and Kate’s eldest child every step of the way, from his first royal tour at the tender age of nine months to his debut on Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the Queen to his first day of school. Since being introduced to the world on the steps of the Lindo Wing on July 22, 2013, the third-in-line to the throne has warmed hearts time and time again when he appeared in pubic. The little scamp is known for his cheeky antics and ear-to-ear grin and it seems there’s never a dull moment when George is in sight.
Here are the best throwback photos of the little prince, who is due to head into Year 2 at his school, Thomas’s Battersea, in September.
On his tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2014, George showed a keen interest in a bilby he was introduced to at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
The tot showed he was eager to get up close to the animal, also named George, but protective mum Kate kept him at a distance as a precaution.
When George took part in an organised playdate with other babies around his age in Wellington during the three-week tour, he showed he was anything but shy as he interacted with his newfound friends and entertained himself with a range of toys.
