Boris Johnson has secured a 10 percent surge (Image: GETTY)
Since Mr Johnson took over as Prime Minister, the Conservatives have seen a surge in support due to his hardline Brexit stance. Earlier this week a YouGov poll stated that the Tory party had seen an increase in support for Mr Johnson in Wales. The poll reported that Mr Johnson had secured a seven percent increase in support since he took over.
Now, a more recent poll created by YouGov for The Times has put the Tories 10 points ahead of Labour.
Unfortunately for Jeremy Corbyn, Labour still sit in second place with 22 percent while the Liberal Democrats were placed in third with 19.
Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party finished in fourth while the Green Party had just eight percent support.
However, Mr Johnson could be hit with his first defeat as many expect the Tories to lose the Brecon by-election.
