Princess Haya and Prince Charles share this unusual connection

Princess Haya, 45, is the estranged wife of one of the world’s richest royals, Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She and her 70-year-old husband are currently locked in a legal battle over their children. The Middle Eastern royals share a passion for horse racing with their British counterparts and have met them frequently over the years. Princess Haya has met Prince Charles on many occasions and shares this surprising link with the future king.

Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein is a blue blood by birth as well as by marriage.

She is the half-sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan and cemented her status in UAE royal circles when she married billionaire Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum in 2004.

Both Princess Haya and her estranged husband own racehorses and are regular visitors to the UK.
