Stacey Fowler (played by Lacey Turner) struck Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) over the head with a spanner while defending husband Martin (James Bye) and it looks like Phil may have finally met his maker as he lies in a criticial condition in hospital.
However as Stacey and Martin prepared to flee Walford with their children, Kat may be left behind to face the music if Phill wakes up.
It wasn’t long after the brutal blow before Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) turned up and demanded all three of them to leave the Arches so he can take matters into his own hands.
Unclear as to why Ben would let the three of them go, Stacey decided the best thing to do was to go on the run and Martin quickly agreed to go with her.
Phil remained unconscious for tonight’s instalment of the BBC soap but this isn’t the first time the hard man has been attacked and it’s likely he could survive.
In the past he’s been shot by two exes, Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) and Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), recovered from alcoholism and liver failure and has suffered a heart attack.
If Phil does survive it won’t be long before he plots his revenge and makes Kat pay for the attack.
The Walford hard man is known for taking revenge into his own hands and he may decide to kill Kat after discovering he had been left for dead.
Will Phil wake up and take the ultimate revenge or will he be unable to remember exactly what happened leaving Kat off the hook?
During Tuesday’s instalment, a huge argument broke out
