Gail (played by Helen Worth) left her family in turmoil last month on Coronation Street when she left the cobbles in the explosive aftermath of David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) bitter feud.
It was thanks to neighbour Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), Gail’s loved ones discovered she was living it up in Thailand and was unsure on whether she would return home.
Since Gail has been away, David was sentenced to eight months behind bars whilst brother Nick walked away on a suspended sentence after fleecing grandmother Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls).
As the weeks fly by, it’s not yet known when and whether Gail will return to the ITV soap but actress Helen, 68, teased her character’s fate earlier today.
Not sure what I’m supposed to say
In an interview on Good Morning Britain, host Kate Garraway, 52, said to Helen: “Currently on Corrie, Gail is missing."
“Could this be the end? What’s going on?” Kate asked the soap star.
Seemingly tentative over what she could say, Helen replied: “Well, umm, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to say.”
However, the actress replied: “But I am still here and I am alive and well. I’m in Thailand. Everybody knows I’m in Thailand.”
With a return on the cards in the near future, will Gail be greeted home with open arms by her family as they seem to have put their differences aside?
