Sinead Tinker (played by Katie McGlynn) was recently told her cancer treatment had been successful and the young mum is now doing her best to get on with her life.
Husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) has been by Sinead’s side every step of the way and supported her through her tough decision to postpone treatment to have their son, Bertie.
But fears over Sinead’s cancer returning will see the couple grow apart in upcoming scenes.
Daniel and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) will turn to each other as they talk through their troubles, which will lead to them sharing a kiss.
Bethany was abused by rapist Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and his grooming gang, and the youngster has struggled to come to terms with the abuse.
As opens up to Daniel about trying to overcome the tragic experience, the pair will get closer.
According to a soap source, they will try to find solace in each other as they struggle with their lives.
“There’s a spark between them that comes at worst possible time as Sinead’s cancer returned," they told The Sun.
“Daniel leans a bit too much Bethany and she him after all her abuse by Nathan’s gang is brought back up.”
“They’re both really vulnerable and one minute they’re talking and the next they’re snogging,” they added.
