Today is the first meteorological day of autumn which will see cooler temperatures and more changeable weather. Sunday morning will see sunny spells, scattered showers and a chilly start for most. Scotland, Northern Ireland and northwest England will experience frequent showers with temperatures rising to around 10C (50F) or 11C (52F) by 9am.
There will be sunny skies across eastern, central and southern England and parts of Wales.
However, there will also be a scattering of showers across England.
Showers will be most frequent across northwestern parts of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland which will be heavy at times with the odd rumble of thunder.
Met Office Meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said: “The daily showers will move their way southeastwards.
