Boris Johnson’s quest to deliver Brexit has been met with resistance from Tory MP’s in addition to Remainers from other parties. Boris Johnson's defeat in Parliament on Tuesday evening has made it more likely that Remainers will be able to prevent a no-deal Brexit and force a general election. During Channel 4’s “A Very British Coup? audience members criticised Parliament’s inability to deliver Brexit with many insisting they failed to see the point of having a general election now as it would not resolve the current issues the country is facing
Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy began: “Boris Johnson says he doesn’t want an election and nor do you.
“So is he right, do you want an election, hands up, what do you think?”
Only a handful of the entire audience raised their hands in agreement that they did want an election.
