Alex Scott was announced for the Strictly Come Dancing line-up last month and it’s no secret the former England footballer is a big fan of the show.

However she’s confessed, ahead of the BBC launch, she has a preference when it comes to strutting her stuff on the dance floor. 

The TV presenter admitted she think’s she’ll perform better in the latin dances compared to ballroom, while speaking to press including Express.co.uk.

She said: “I feel like I’ve got the energy to be upbeat and I love music and can bounce around and be fun.

“But to have that grace [for ballroom], and that elegance and to just slow it down and like being stiff.”

Alex then revealed her struggles with “being stiff” have got her into trouble. 

She said: “Walking in this morning Oti was like ‘Alex what have I told you about your posture?’

“I’m like ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Shoulders back!’”

Since the line-up was announced, Alex has been tipped by book makers as the hot favourite to life the Glitterball Trophy.

Discussing the pressure this brings, she said: “I’m trying to ignore it because I think when the show starts that might change. 

“When I get messages from my friends saying ‘Do you know you’re the favourite?’ I’m like ’Shut up!’
