After six years, Top Boy will be back on screens and fans will have the chance to find out what happened next on the Summerhouse estate.
Set in Hackney, the gritty drama follows the lives of drug dealers Dushane (played by Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kane Robinson).
The series was cancelled by Channel 4 after two seasons but the show is now back on air after the intervention of Canadian rapper Drake.
Drake is a big fan of the show and brought Top Boy back to life by pitching it to Netflix.
The critically acclaimed drama has been praised for its portrayal of London gang culture and now Sully star Kane has revealed the inspiration behind the show.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, Kane explained: “[Roman] was outside a supermarket once and some 12 or eight year old came up to him to offer him drugs and it shocked his system.
“It was from then that he thought ‘I want to write a show about this.'"
Roman has written all three seasons of the gritty drama to date.
Meanwhile, Top Boy stars Ashley and Kane opened up to Express.co.uk about what fans can expect from the new series.
Despite hiding out in Jamaica, Ashley revealed Dushane is drawn back to his old life.
