Sabine Kehm has opened up about the “warm hearted” Michael Schumacher she knows personally who was fiercely private to focus on his driving career. She told the official Formula 1 podcast ‘Beyond the Grid’: “Michael has always been a very warmhearted person.
“But he did not want this side of him to be public, because he wanted to look like he was focused on the competition.”
The German legend’s health has been a closely guarded secret since he suffered catastrophic brain injuries in a skiing accident in 2013.
And Mr Schumacher’s manager Ms Kehm has always insisted the racing superstar’s condition is not a public matter.

But Ms Kehm has recently opened up about an emotional conversation she had with Schumacher in 2006 after he decided to retire before returning to the motor sports in 2010.
She said: “Michael looked at me and said, ‘Please do not call me for the next half year. I can not be reached for anything.’
“Michael really meant that. He really wanted to enjoy this phase with his family.”
