Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) noticed Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) hasn’t been paying attention to her schoolwork recently on Emmerdale. The young teen has been showing signs she’s taking after her rebellious mother Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) while she enjoys a new life in Scotland.
Last week Charity realised her granddaughter has been ignoring homework in favour of spending time with new arrival Danny (Louis Healy).
However when she confronted Sarah, Charity was shocked by what the young teen had to say.
Sarah has battled serious health issues ever since she was a child on the ITV soap.
In 2011 she was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called fanconi anaemia and needed a bone marrow transplant to survive.

Then in 2017, Sarah tragically discovered she was suffering from throat cancer.
Moreover, last year the young teen was diagnosed with heart failure as a complication from chemotherapy treatment.
She had to undergo surgery as a result and her health issues have taken their toll on the school girl.
Confronting Sarah over missing school, Charity was stunned to hear the real reason for Sarah’s behaviour.
She confessed she believed she wouldn’t live long due to the various health traumas she’s faced.
