The first live show of Strictly Come Dancing aired tonight and the BBC show had plenty of glitz, glamour and surprises in store for viewers. One thing fans certainly weren’t expecting was a phallic-shaped object on the dance floor as the celebrities got ready to showcase their new moves.
While host Tess Daly was talking to the camera, one eagled-eyed fan noticed there was a cheeky looking object behind her.
Instead of concentrating on what the presenter was saying, the viewer couldn’t help but be distracted by the naughty-looking prop.
The confused viewer tweeted: “Wtf is that prop #Strictly?”
On closer inspection, the cheeky prop was actually a fire hydrant placed in the centre of the stage just below the steps.
The prop had been on stage for Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer’s Cha Cha Cha performance.

Elsewhere Strictly fans took to Twitter to praise Motsi Mabuse’s first stint on the judging panel.
However some viewers vented their frustration at not being able to hear the new judge clearly.
“Can someone sack the sound guy. FFS sort Motsi’s microphone out!
