Piers Morgan, 54, wasted no time in voicing his opinion on the WAG war between Coleen Rooney, 33, and Rebekah Vardy, 37, after the pair locked horns over alleged leaks to the media.
As the Good Morning Britain host noted in his latest MailOnline column, the feud kicked off when Coleen took to Twitter to announce she had conducted her own detective work after realising her personal stories were winding up being published in the press.
Wayne Rooney’s wife said she had two Instagram accounts, one “private” and one “public”, and that the information which was finding it’s way out was based on posts on her personal page.
She went on to tell her 1.3 million followers she had strategically blocked every follower but one from viewing her story on Instagram and proceeded to post false information about her family which, she revealed, had indeed ended up being published.
“I have saved and screen-shotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them,” she said. “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
Rebekah subsequently denied leaking Coleen’s stories and is said to be conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, writing in view of her 413,000 Instagram followers: “Over the years various people have had access to my Insta and just this week I found out I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself.
“I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you?” she added.
Now, Piers has had his say, explaining how he was not going to “take sides” because he knows both women well.
However, this didn’t stop him from getting his opinion across, insisting Coleen’s “private” Instagram account wasn’t in fact “private”.
Piers began by observing that Coleen’s “private” page has 367 followers and that she follows 121 people.
