Cameron Douglas, 40, opened up about his childhood in his new tell-all book, Long Way Home, and spoke about his relationship with his famous dad, Michael Douglas, 75.
The actor claimed the Oscar winner would ask him to hand out joints during parties at their home.
Cameron alleged he didn’t know what they were until “years later”, as he recalled his younger days.
He wrote in his book: "Even as a really young kid, I remember running joints back and forth.
"Dad would say: 'Hey, bring this over to your uncle,' and I would, not realising until years later what it had been.
"As I got older, I would creep from house to house on the compound, climbing balconies and seeing more than I was supposed to: beautiful grown-ups doing the things that beautiful grown-ups living lives of excess do."
Cameron was first arrested for the possession of a controlled substance in 1999, the charge was dropped after he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of disorderly conduct.
In 2007, the father-of-one was charged with the possession of a controlled substance after police found a syringe with liquid cocaine in a car he was in.
He was arrested four years later for the possession of methamphetamine and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute drugs and heroin possession.
