Death Stranding release date is here at last, with the latest offering from visionary director Hideo Kojima finally in gamers’ hands.

After years of mysterious teasers and much speculation Death Stranding has finally launched on the PS4.

Kojima’s first game since the Konami split, Death Stranding boasts a stunning cast led by Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus as well as a fascinating premise.

It’s fair to say Death Stranding is unlike anything you’ve ever played before, and right now it can only be played on the PS4.

To mark the Death Stranding release date we have rounded up all you need to know to get ready for the game’s launch.

DEATH STRANDING - WHAT IS THE METACRITIC SCORE? WHAT ARE THE REVIEWS LIKE?

At the time of writing Death Stranding has a Metacritic score of 83 per cent and an OpenCritic score of 85.

The OpenCritic rating for Death Stranding is classified as “Mighty” while for MetaCritic it means Death Stranding has “generally favourable reviews”.

Death Stranding has had plenty of 10/10 ratings and nine out of 10 scores, but it has also had a number of lower scores.

We were left hugely impressed with Kojima’s latest, awarding it five out of five stars and describing it as one of his best games.
