In a poll, we asked our readers: “Is Farage right to put country first and pull Brexit Party out of 317 Tory seats?”

Overwhelmingly, 82 percent of Express.co.uk readers voted the Brexit Party leader had made the right decision.

Out of the 11,050 voters asked, 9,120 voted ‘yes’ to the question while only 1,695 voted that he had not - 235 answered that they did not know.

With the Brexit Party confirming the Leave alliance, Mr Farage has been praised for sacrificing his party’s potential success in the general election.
