In a major development for next month’s election, Mr Farage announced that his party will not contest 317 seats. To avoid splitting the Leave vote and therefore risking a hung Parliament, Mr Farage announced his party would not run against the Tories in seats whey won in 2017.
In a poll, we asked our readers: “Is Farage right to put country first and pull Brexit Party out of 317 Tory seats?”
Overwhelmingly, 82 percent of Express.co.uk readers voted the Brexit Party leader had made the right decision.
Out of the 11,050 voters asked, 9,120 voted ‘yes’ to the question while only 1,695 voted that he had not - 235 answered that they did not know.
With the Brexit Party confirming the Leave alliance, Mr Farage has been praised for sacrificing his party’s potential success in the general election.

One user commented on the poll, stating that the UK needs a “statesman to rise above party politics”.
They said: “Well DONE, Nigel!
“It needed a statesman to rise above party politics. Take note, Boris.
“The Conservatives should now support Farage where they have no chance of winning.
