Andrew Whyment, 38, was reportedly set to enter the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! jungle when his speculated involvement hit the headlines earlier this year. Although he was not a part of the confirmed line-up, the Coronation Street star is allegedly going to make an appearance as a late entrant in an ITV show shake-up.
The actor is best known for his role on the Weatherfield-based soap, playing lovable factory worker Kirk Sunderland.
Therefore, his rumoured signing to the show excited fans up and down the country who were subsequently left riled when he wasn’t part of the confirmed line-up.
However, the reality show does have a history of bringing in big name stars later into the series as Noel Edmonds, 70, was revealed to be the mystery campmate last year.
This year, it seems Andrew could be one of the extra celebrities set to join the mix, bringing the total of candidates to snatch the jungle crown up to 12.
